About me

I am currently a postdoctoral fellow in mathematics at Université Côte d'Azur funded by the ANR-DFG POK0, mentored by Andreas Höring.

Previously i was a "assegnista di ricerca" (postdoc) at Università degli Studi di Bologna, funded by PRIN22 with title "Symplectic varieties: their interplay with Fano manifolds and derived categories", mentored by Giovanni Mongardi.

Previously, I was a postdoc at Université Paris-Saclay, Laboratoire de mathématiques d'Orsay, funded by the ERC Synergy Grant HyperK, mentored by Emanuele Macrì.

Before I was a postdoc at Faculty of Mathematics, at TU-Chemnitz, mentored by Christian Lehn.

I obtained my PhD in Mathematics at Università degli Studi di Bologna in May 2020 under the supervision of Giovanni Mongardi.

Research Interest

My research concerns complex algebraic geometry, with a particular focus on Hyper-Kähler manifolds and their interplay with other geometric objects, in particular I have worked on:

  • Automorphisms and birational transformationsof Hyper-Kähler manifolds, with a particular focus on O'Grady's sporadic examples, and their relation with automorphisms of cubic fourfolds.

  • Irreducible symplectic varieties, singular analogue of Hyper-Kähler manifolds: construction of examples and hodge-theoretical properties.

  • Rational curves and uniruled divisors on Hyper-Kähler manifolds.

  • Enriques varieties.

  • Moduli spaces: cones of divisors, birational models.

  • Fano varieties of K3 type.

  • Maximal branes on Hyper-Kähler manifolds.

Where I will be soon

  • Japanese-European Symposium on symplectic varieties and moduli spaces. Sapporo, Japan, September 2026.

  • Workshop “Cubic Fourfolds, Gushel-Mukai Fourfolds, and Hyperkahler Manifolds” at ICERM Brown University, Providence, Rhode Island, US. October 2026
